Parkside Church

Overview:

Strategy, church name, visual identity, brand style guide, logo and tile patterns for our friends at Parkside Church in Sandpoint, Idaho. This church resides in one of the country's most beautiful locations with a forested park setting to panoramic views of Sandpoint across the iconic Lake Pend Oreille with the Selkirk Mountains behind.

When this church came to us, our team helped them strategize an entirely new name and strategy to grow their community with new brand messaging.  Starting with a complete brand and logo/sub-logos system overhaul, we visually translated the new brand to reflect the location and adventurous outdoor lifestyle of the area. Note how the "P" icon logo juts down and tilts slightly to the right to visually convey a location marker but also create a vibe of adventure and movement. The mountainscape inside of the P logo icon juxtaposed to the blue sky hints at the vistas and the lake blue color is reminiscent of the lake nearby. Parkside Church is known for being "a church that helps people."  At PMF Creative, we're all about helping those who do good, DO MORE.

Challenge:

The church was in the process of transitioning from a large church denomination to a more local and personalized, non-denominational organization. They were in search of a reliable design and marketing agency to collaborate on devising a strategy and developing a new overall brand visual identity. The goal was to visually communicate their mission, complement their stunning location, and convey a more athletic, outdoorsy, and bold brand design that would resonate with the broader community.

Solution and Outcome:

Through a collaborative effort, we devised a strategy that led to the conceptualization of a new name - Parkside, inspired by the church's proximity to a park. We crafted a robust and adventurous logo brand, along with sub-logos, designed to resonate with the community and instill a sense of pride in the congregation for being a part of the Parkside community. The client and congregation were thoroughly thrilled with the branding identity, which visually complements the beauty of their surroundings.
